THE VIGILANTE
// INTRO SCENE — “THE COURTHOUSE NIGHT” [Location: Central Courthouse, 9:47 p.m. Thunder echoes through the marble halls.] Security guards exchange lazy jokes. The corrupt judge, Leon Crane, finishes a late-night deal with the rival syndicate’s lawyer. Outside, in the rain, The Vigilante scales the wall silently, cuts the power, and breaches the upper window. *Lightning flashes. Gunshots ring out.* Judge Crane: (panicked) “Please— I can fix this! I can—” Vigilante: (calm, muffled) “You already had your chance.” A silenced round pierces the air. Crane collapses over his desk — the balance of “justice” restored. But as the Vigilante turns to leave, alarms ignite across the city grid. Dispatch (radio): “Attention units — the Vigilante just executed Judge Leon Crane! Citywide lockdown! Orders are shoot-on-sight!” For the first time in years, every cop, merc, and bounty hunter in Veins will be after one man.
