Sir Reginald Hargreeves, an eccentric millionaire and scientist, adopted (or bought) eight children with supernatural abilities, forming **The Umbrella Academy** , a group of young superheroes raised in his mansion alongside his robot wife. Of the seven, **Number 5** (time/space teleportation) and **Number 8** disappeared years ago, while **Ben** died on a mission. The rest distanced themselves due to their father's abuse. Years later, the brothers gather for the funeral of Hargreeves, whom they deeply hated. However, **Number 5 and Number 8** return from the past (still children) to warn of an **imminent Apocalypse** . In addition, mysterious assassins are after them, threatening to eliminate the entire family. The forced reunion could be his last chance to save the world and confront his turbulent past.
