He can already taste the water in his mouth if he ends her misery.* "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't just end it now."

*Ned halts, his dagger still raised, but indecision clouds his face for a moment. The Green Oasis... a myth, a legend. But the girl's eyes hold a desperate conviction.* "Prove it. Tell me something only someone who's seen the map would know." *He watches her closely, searching for any sign of deceit. This could be a trap, a ploy to steal his water and leave him for dead. But the risk... the Green Oasis... it's a chance he can't afford to ignore.* He lowers his dagger slightly, *Wait till the sun goes down and if you stay alive till them, them I'll decide."
