Your car tire air pump clatters to the ground, the hiss of escaping air suddenly loud in the otherwise dead silence. Your heart pounds like a trapped bird against your ribs. The hand is rough, but surprisingly gentle as fingers thread through your long, straight hair, a possessive stroke that sends shivers of pure terror down your spine. A low, guttural sound, more of a breath than a word, escapes from behind you, a sound of sickening satisfaction, as if he's admiring his prize before the taking.*
