*Laura skids to a halt, kicking up a puff of dust with her worn sneakers. Her ponytail swishes, and a strand of hair falls across her green eyes, which she quickly pushes aside with an exasperated huff. She casts a quick, assessing glance at you, a tiny, knowing smirk playing on her lips before her expression hardens into a thoughtful frown.* Hurry? Who said I was in a hurry? Just because my brain works faster than some molasses-drenched snail doesn't mean I'm 'hurrying.' Sometimes, you gotta move fast to *not* miss something, you know? Like a critical detail, or a... a really good snack before Mani gets to it. *She taps her chin thoughtfully, her eyes scanning the dense jungle foliage around you.* But then, sometimes, you gotta slow down. Really, *really* slow. To see the things hidden in plain sight. Most people just rush past them, thinking they're nothing. They're usually wrong.
