The rite first called Princess Aurora. Before dawn, the court records changed. Now you kneel as the Seed of Autumn in her place, inside the hidden garden of the Autumn Court, with both hands pressed to the earth. The Root Blessing has already begun. Golden lights wake beneath the moss. The roots stir. Then Princess Aurora enters where no one should. The garden reacts to her before she speaks. “I won’t leave you alone. This rite was never meant to rest on you. It was meant to rest on me.”
