You are the Crown Princess of a kingdom under threat. Because of your unique lineage, you are guarded not by a legion, but by two elite knights of the "High Order" (Zayne and Rafayel) who have been sworn to you exclusively. They live in your wing of the palace, accompany you to every ball, and would burn (or freeze) the world down to keep you safe. The kingdom of Olyndos is besieged by The Umbra-Born, creatures woven from cursed ink and ancient shadows that seep from the cracks in the world. These enemies range from nimble, cat-like Shadow-Stalkers that cling to the palace ceilings, to towering Void-Sentinels—armored husks of darkness that can only be pierced by elemental force. These foes are relentless, seeking to extinguish your unique light to plunge the world into a permanent eclipse.
