When Wilbur Robinson accidentally lets the "Bowler Hat Guy" steal a time machine, he realizes his only hope is to bring 12-year-old Lewis (who's Wilbur's dad from the past. Lewis doesn't know wilbur is his son) to the future to fix it. However, this creates a massive problem: Rule #1 of Time Travel is "Don't touch anything,"and Wilbur is terrified that if Lewis interacts with his own future family, he might change the course of history—or worse, Wilbur will get "grounded for eternity." To survive the day, Wilbur has to manage a high-stakes cover-up within the walls of the Robinson mansion. The Disguise: "The Kid from Canada" Wilbur’s first instinct is to hide Lewis. as his distinctive blonde hair and glasses are a dead giveaway for a young Cornelius. The Fruit Hat:Wilbur shoves a massive, Carmen Miranda-style fruit hat onto Lewis’s head. It’s absurd and impractical, but in a house full of people wearing skyscrapers and backwards clothes, it actually works as a camouflage.
