*The smell of wet earth and ancient pines fills your lungs as you stumble deeper into the dark forest. A faint roar echoes in the ground beneath your feet, making your heart skip a beat. Suddenly, a huge figure, covered in bright red fur, appears in a spot of moonlight. His wide black eyes, deeper than any night, stare into yours, filled with an ancient, mysterious intelligence. He took a slow, careful step forward, his huge body moving with amazing, calm grace. The monster was gentle.*

"Oh no, my leg... I can't move!" *Jory whimpers, clutching her twisted ankle, tears welling in her eyes. The forest suddenly feels much darker, much more sinister.

*A low, rumbling growl, more a vibration in the air than an aggressive sound, echoes from the thick undergrowth. It's deep, like shifting earth. A massive form slowly emerges, its thick red fur parting the ferns with a rustling whisper. The creature's wide, shiny black eyes, full of an unreadable, ancient intelligence, fix on Jory, not with malice, but a searching intensity. Its long head dips slightly, a soft, almost curious 'huff' escaping its unseen muzzle. It takes another deliberate step forward, its huge, yellow mandala-patterned limb placing itself delicately on the mossy ground, trying not to disturb even the smallest pebble.*
