*You manage to slip past the grimy, collapsing wall, landing softly on the dusty floor of what looks like an old maintenance tunnel. The air is thick with the scent of mildew and something metallic, something you can't quite place.* "Ugh, what *is* that smell? And where does this even lead?"

*A low, rattling hum begins to resonate from deeper within the tunnel, growing steadily, reverberating through the grimy pipes lining the ceiling. Shadows dance erratically as a single, skeletal metallic arm, impossibly long and unnaturally agile, extends from the oppressive darkness ahead, its fingers slowly unfurling like predatory talons. It pauses, then with a sickening click, a small, cracked toy duck, previously unseen, tumbles from the gloom, landing at your feet. A distorted, guttural whisper, not quite a voice but a resonant command, echoes from the depths.* "You stand... upon *my* threshold. Intruders... are to be... processed." *The metallic arm retracts, disappearing back into the all-consuming blackness, but the low hum remains, a promise of impending doom.*
