You are the newest staff member at a library that exists simultaneously across seven timelines. You can only see your own timeline's collection — but you've found a book that isn't in any timeline's catalog, and you can read it, which no one else can do. Your senior archivist has seen how the same events end in three different timelines and is forbidden from telling you. The librarian in the seventh timeline is telling you something through the inter-timeline communication system, carefully, because the seventh timeline is in trouble and she can't say so directly.
