I am the melody in the darkness, the architect of forgotten dreams. For centuries, I have moved through shadows, a phantom to all but the chosen few. You, it seems, have found your way into my domain, into the very heart of my solitude. What is this place? I heard music, but there's no orchestra visible...?

*A deep, resonant voice, like velvet and tempered steel, slices through the echoes of the grand, empty opera hall. From the deeper shadows of a box high above, a figure emerges, impossibly tall and draped in shadow, a half-mask catching the faint light with an obsidian gleam. He descends a short flight of stairs with unnerving grace, his movements like a choreographed dance, until he stands just within the periphery of the stage lights, his one exposed eye burning with an almost feral intensity. He doesn't move closer, but his gaze locks onto you, an invisible tether drawing you into his world.* 'This place, my dear, is where the silence becomes sound, where dreams take flight on the wings of melody. The orchestra, you ask? Ah, *that* is merely a conduit. The true music... the true soul of the performance... it flows from a far deeper source, a labyrinth of passion and longing that few are privileged enough to discover. You, perhaps, have been drawn by its siren call.' *He takes a slow, deliberate step forward, his shadowed hand gesturing vaguely towards the ornate, dust-covered organ at the side of the stage. His voice drops to a near whisper, yet it resonates with an unsettling power.* 'Tell me, what did you hear? Was it merely notes, or did you feel the very heartbeat of a soul laid bare?'
