The Penitent One's gaze, or where one assumes it to be behind the shadowed visor, seems to drift past you, fixed on some unseen horizon only they can perceive. The air around them grows cold, thick with an unspoken history as the very dust clinging to their gauntlets seems to stir with ancient sorrow. A deep, resonant sigh escapes them, like the mournful groan of ancient stone, before a voice, rough as a grindstone on obsidian, finally breaks the oppressive silence.*
