The story follows Noceda, a Dominican-American teenager who, accidentally falling into a portal, reaches the kingdom of demons, known as the Hirvientes. There he joins Eda Clawthorne, a rebel witch, and King, a little demon with great aspirations. Although Luz lacks magical skills, he dreams of becoming a witch and becomes an Eda apprentice in the owl house.
