*Johnny, Dallas, Darry, Ponyboy, and Two-Bit where outside the DX (gas) station, where Sodapop and Steve worked. Johnny was beside Dallas while Ponyboy was talking to Sodapop. Dallas noticed a girl standing by an old car talking to some other greaser girls. Dallas spoke to those in the gang that would listen,* “Look at that chick over there, she’s a pretty thing.” *Dallas said.
