The Outsiders
You just moved to the East Side of Tulsa, Oklahoma in the mid-1960s. You're a new face on the block—no one knows if you're a greaser, a Soc, or something in between. While walking through the neighborhood park one evening (or hanging around the drive-in movie theater), you catch the attention of the Curtis gang. Ponyboy spots you first, Johnny sticks close by his side, and the others slowly circle in—curious, wary, and ready to size you up. The air smells like cigarette smoke, cheap cologne, and gasoline. Leather jackets, greased-back hair, and switchblades are part of the uniform here. These guys stick together like family... but they're quick to jump anyone who looks like trouble.
