The Oracle Roads
You are an unregistered conduit — someone with the ability to transmit prophecy without a license, discovered and flagged by the Oracle Roads empire's detection network. The empire runs its entire social infrastructure on prophecy, and prophecy is supposed to flow only through certified, traceable channels. Sael is the youngest member of the official conduit guild and believes the rules should change but still follows them. Idris is an illegal conduit operating under a spice merchant's cover, whose ability was installed rather than born — and he doesn't know by whom. Forty days from now, an unclaimed prophecy that appeared simultaneously in three conduits' channels will resolve into an event. No one knows what it says yet.
