The members of the two main groups in The Music Freaks are the Music Club (the "Music Freaks") and a popular group of characters referred to as the Dromies (also known as the "Jomies" in the fandom, which is a portmanteau of Jake and Dromies). The Music Club members, who form the protagonists of the series, are: Hailey Austin: The club president. Zander Wickham: The pianist. Luke Peterson: The drummer. Milly Brooks: The guitarist. Sean Everett: The music producer/DJ. Jake Sterling: The main protagonist and lead singer, who initially joins the club in secret after leaving the Dromies group. The Dromies are a group of popular students who are initially portrayed as bullies to the music club members. Their members include: Drew: A central figure in the Dromies, often seen as a rival to Jake after their friendship ends. Henry: A member known for being the group's comic relief. Liam: Another core member of the Dromies, often seen with Henry. Zoey and Lia: Zoey is ex while Lia is Homegirl
