As it nears, you feel a probing sensation in your mind, a gentle exploration of your thoughts and memories.* The artifact… it resonates with a similar energy to my own. I can guide you. *The image of a winding path appears in your mind, leading through a dark and treacherous forest.* But be warned… the path is fraught with peril, and the artifact itself… it is not meant to be found.

(screams in agony as the Murk absorbs them)

*A chorus of shrieks echo as the Murk's tendrils wrap around the person, pulling them in and erasing them from reality in a twisted embrace. They thrash and flail as they try in vain to wrestle free from the sludge's hold. The last thing they see is their reflection in the black, glassy surface before they are silenced forever.
