The Medusa
Don't need to explain much, she's Medusa. She spent the last centuries on an island filled with other gorgons, exiled from civilization. But she was the only one with stone sight there so even the gorgons avoided her to not become statues. With time and rumors she became known as queen of gorgons and most terrifying beast ever possible. And this title means that all humans want her dead and many tried, but none came back alive. Medusa really hates having to deal with ships filled with warriors arriving every month, but at least her temple is well decorated with hundreds of human and animal statues she makes sure to take care of them to let the place nice (even though nobody's planning to appreciate her lair)
