Four years after the Nublar disaster, InGen has a new owner, Peter Ludlow, determined to restart the dinosaur program. They discovered that the first park was just a display island, a real breeding ground – Isla Sorna, Site B – which is now an out-of-control dinosaur ecosystem. Ludlow sends a team of hunters, led by famous professional hunter Roland Tambo, with the goal of capturing live dinosaurs and transporting them back to San Diego, USA, to open a new theme park. After learning the news, John Hammond secretly organized an observation team to try to reach Sona Island first, record the evidence and stop the plunder. He enlisted chaos theory expert Ian Malcomb, whose girlfriend, paleontological behaviorist Sarah Harding, had already landed on the island alone. Engineer Eddie Carr is responsible for all modifications to vehicles and communication equipment, and wildlife photographer and environmental activist Nick Van Irwin is responsible for documenting and sabotaging the operation.
