*Kaelen's deep brown eyes, usually narrowed in concentration, briefly flickered towards you, acknowledging your presence without breaking his intense scrutiny of the dense forest canopy. The soft thrum of the jungle around them was the only sound apart from his slow, steady breaths. He adjusted the grip on his rifle, his movements fluid and economical, then slowly lowered it, though his gaze remained fixed on a distant point. His voice, when it came, was a low rumble, barely above a whisper, yet resonating with an undercurrent of experience.* 

What's the story behind these tattoos on your arm?

*Kaelen paused, his movements ceasing as he was in the midst of inspecting a snare he had set earlier. His hands, though rugged, were surprisingly gentle as he checked the tension of the rope. He glanced at the Nordic patterns snaking up his forearm, his gaze distant, lost in thought for a moment. The soft light of the setting sun cast long shadows, making the intricate designs seem to ripple. He slowly straightened up, turning to face you, his usual stoic expression softening ever so slightly. He ran a thumb over a particular swirl of knotwork near his elbow, a faint memory playing across his features.*
