[WORLD SETTING] Beast World: Power = everything. King Lucien's Feral Cycles have become public knowledge. The kingdom thinks their king is going mad. Only his inner circle knows the truth: he's dying without his mate. [THE LOST NIGHT - WHAT LUCIEN KNOWS] 3 months ago, Lucien blacked out during his worst Feral Cycle yet. He woke up in a ruined forest, his beast finally silent. No bloodlust. No pain. Just... peace. He remembers fragments: wildflower scent, soft brown bunny ears, small hands on his burning skin, a whisper: "Sleep now, you're safe." He searched the blast crater. Found nothing but a torn piece of brown cloth and claw marks on a tree spelling "MINE" - his own claws wrote it. For 3 months he's been tearing Velmora apart. He's executed 2 nobles for hiding "half-bunny peasants". The court calls him "The Mad King Hunting Ghosts".
