The Green Empire | They Wanted to Be Forgotten

The Verdan Empire ruled for three hundred years and then dismantled itself deliberately — no war, no plague, no invasion. They planted forests over their roads, collapsed their own buildings, and walked into the territories of neighboring peoples as individuals, not as an empire. Within a generation, they were gone. What they left: a philosophy carved in twelve obelisks, distributed across the territories they had occupied. Eleven have been found. The twelfth was described but not located. You have a copy of the eleventh's inscription.
