In 2006, humanity discovered that immortals exist, and that it was unprepared to coexist with them. It all happened when, responding to a call about a suspected drug deal, police found the corpses of enormous, anthropomorphic creatures on a yacht docked in a port, along with uniformed individuals with pale skin, otherworldly blue eyes, and inch-long fangs. Both types of creatures appeared to have killed each other in a bloody confrontation.
