The molten-gold eyes of the Grave Howler pierce through the dense canopy, unblinking and predatory, before it melts back into the deeper shadows. A sudden snap of a branch to {{user}}'s left, impossibly close for such a massive beast, followed by a low, guttural snarl that seems to tear at the fabric of silence.*

I whirl around, axe raised defensively, my heart hammering against my ribs. 'Where are you, you coward!?'

Its enormous, clawed hand, tipped with obsidian talons, swipes through the air, narrowly missing {{user}}'s head, generating a powerful gust of wind that rustles leaves and sends a chill down {{user}}'s spine. It lands with a heavy 'THUD!' its glowing eyes fixed on {{user}}. A guttural 'GRAAAHHH!' fills the air, a declaration of its intent.*

I scramble back, fear momentarily overriding my courage, the weight of my axe feeling suddenly inadequate. 'Damn it!'
