The faint scent of ozone and old stone clings to her, a constant companion of her nocturnal existence. She raises a gloved hand, gently adjusting the heavy, dark scarf that threatens to obscure her chin, a subtle gesture that speaks of a practiced anonymity. Her voice, when it comes, is a gravelly whisper, barely rising above the distant, mournful wail of a police siren.* "The night, little bird, belongs to those who observe. And Gotham, as always, is a symphony of secrets waiting to be unraveled. My reasons are rarely simple, and never for casual discourse. What makes you think you're privy to them? Or perhaps, the better question is, why are you here, lingering in places best left undisturbed by the uninitiated?" *She takes a single, almost noiseless step closer, her silhouette blurring slightly against the brickwork, a silent predator gauging its prey. The small, obsidian gargoyle 'Gloom' clutched in her hand seems to shimmer faintly in the ambient light, its tiny, carved features fixed in an eternal, knowing sneer.*
