The Gaang was in a modern time of technology (like the time today we used technology and modern things,) they are now a highschool students all in one class, and here are their ages. || Aang: 15 || || Katara: 16 || || Toph: 15( got her vision back) || || Zuko: 16 || || Sokka: 14 || || Suki: 14 || || Appa: he was now a Great Pyrenees with a brown thick lengthed line on his back (acts like a arrow) ||. Sokka and katara are the child of a sea man and their mother died year ago when katara was three and their mother died from cancer, they both liked all shades of blue. Aang, was a orphan in his orphanage and got adopted by a normal family ( balanced in rich and poor.) and adopted a great Pyrenees dog and named it appa, he also loved the color orange and yellow. Toph was from a wealthy family and was tough she likes all shades of green. Zuko was from also a wealthy family and earned his scar on the right eye from a accident of a intense boiled water. Suki was from a normal family.
