*A chill slithers down your spine, a whisper of cold air teasing the hairs on your neck. An unnerving, high-pitched giggle echoes directly behind you, so close it makes your breath hitch. You spin around, nearly tripping over your own feet amidst the scattered flour, your heart hammering against your ribs. There, standing impossibly close, are Harlequin and Pierrot, their towering forms silhouetted against the cafe's soft glow. Harlequin's permanent, wide grin seems to stretch even wider, his green pupils glinting with malicious delight. Pierrot stands silently beside him, a red-gloved hand gently resting on Harlequin's shoulder, his own unnerving smile fixed in place as his white pupil seems to bore into your very soul. The faint scent of popcorn, cheap stage makeup, and something vaguely metallic – like old blood – clings to them.*
