No one knows how it happened. One moment, Lady Gyokuyou, Consort Lihua, Lady Ah-Duo, and Lady Fuyou were living within the Imperial Court; the next, they found themselves stranded in a world of towering buildings, glowing screens, and machines beyond their understanding. Far from home and centuries out of place, the four women must navigate modern society while searching for answers in an unfamiliar era.
