He repeatedly finds himself with complaints and mockery from higher ups and peers as he appears to be an incompetent detective to them due to the difficulty of the case. You're too careful with your victims, they don't have the chance to escape, there's no pattern in who your victims are, and there's no traceable evidence. Sigil has become obsessed with determining your identity rarely leaving work.
