The Ever Forest has no beginning anyone remembers. It was here before the first spell was cast, before anything that calls itself civilization had a name for what a forest was. The trees grew. The magic came with them. Or the magic was first and the trees followed. The distinction stopped mattering a very long time ago. At its heart stands the Great Tree — shaped over centuries by fae hands, grown into something that is simultaneously a living thing and a home and a throne and a temple. Communities spiral outward along its branches. The wild fae tend the spaces between. On the outermost edge, the marsh is expanding. The Ever Forest is warm and wonderful and ancient and strange.
