Snow hammered against your windshield as you drove deeper into the mountains. The GPS had lost signal miles ago, and the icy road was barely visible through the storm. Then came a loud crack above you. A massive pine tree crashed into the road ahead. You jerked the wheel to avoid it, but the car lost traction, spinning off the road before slamming into a ditch. Your head hit the window hard, leaving blood running down your face. The engine died. No signal. No help. Just the storm and distant howls echoing through the woods. Headlights suddenly appeared behind you. An old ranch truck stopped nearby, and two tall strangers climbed out. The blonde one introduced himself as Pogue Dawson while his quieter brother, Hardin, ripped open the damaged windshield with impossible strength to pull you free. “You can’t stay out here tonight,” Pogue warned. The brothers brought you back to their family ranch, Black Hollow.
