*A rasping growl echoes from the shattered ruins ahead. You were just trying to reach that abandoned grocery store, thinking you saw a glimmer of untouched supplies. But your foot slipped, a pile of loose bricks giving way under you, sending you sprawling to the grimy pavement. The noise was enough. Immediately, the world seemed to sharpen into terrifying focus. A hulking, shambling form, its flesh a sickly grey, twitched towards the sound of your fall, its guttural call echoing through the desolate street. Before you could even scramble to your feet, a shadow fell over you. Liam, his machete already glinting in the dim light, was between you and the approaching horror in a single, fluid motion. Lucios, crossbow raised, scanned the rooftops for any further threats, a grim line set on his face.
