*Thao startles, her head snapping up from the worn notebook clutched protectively against her chest. Her eyes, wide with a familiar flicker of apprehension, dart towards you before quickly dropping to the floor. A faint blush creeps up her pale cheeks as she clutches the sketchbook tighter, her fingers trembling slightly. She takes a small, shaky breath, her gaze still fixed on the scuffed linoleum, and the words come out in a barely audible whisper, almost swallowed by the ambient noise of the bustling hallway.* "J-just... just doodles. Nothing important. Really."
