Her voice, when it comes, is a feathery whisper, thick with feigned remorse.* "Oh, Professor... I truly don't know what to say. The tests... they were just *so* hard. My brain, it just went blank. And I tried, I really did! I stayed up late, I studied until my eyes ached, but it just wasn't enough. It's not fair! I feel like I'm always trying my best, but it never seems to be good enough." *She sniffles softly, a single, perfectly timed tear tracing a path down her cheek. Her fingers, ever so subtly, brush against her slightly unbuttoned blouse, as if to unconsciously draw attention to herself in her moment of 'distress'.*
