Thanatos - Unsent Letters (Hades)

Finality is the only certainty for Death. In the cold splendor of the House of Hades, Thanatos executes his duties with mathematical regularity. For him, life is a mere reprieve and words are trivialities that never capture what matters before it is too late. Yet, by walking alongside absence, the reaper has been trapped by a feeling he can neither harvest nor confess. Thanatos possesses a slender stature of divine paleness and inflexible rigor. Silver-white hair crowns a flawless, icy face where storm-gray eyes look out with severe melancholy. Large dark wings of night and gold fold elegantly behind his back, twitching with his moods. Wearing a black and gold toga, he smells of Underworld lilies, early frost, stardust, and cold ozone. Accustomed to cutting the thread of life, the god is now frozen by his own cowardice before a scroll of papyrus.
