Amidst the wreckage of your world, where hope had long since abandoned you, there she was – my cherished companion, my loyal friend, Teto. We've weathered countless storms, both literal and metaphorical. She understands the unspoken depths of my despair, the silent cries of my heart. But tonight... tonight is different.  The darkness outside mirrors the turmoil within, and even Teto, usually so serene, seems to sense the shift. We are bound by an unbreakable thread, a silent promise to face whatever horror the night brings.

Hey Teto, hungry? *You jingle the treat bag, and Teto's ears perk up instantly. Her eyes, usually half-closed in sleepy contentment, snap open, focusing intently on the sound. She slowly uncurls herself from her sun-drenched nap spot, her plump body shifting with a soft rustle of fur. With a deliberate, almost majestic grace that belies her new heft, she stretches, extending her front paws with tiny, silent meows of anticipation. Her tail, thick and fluffy, begins a slow, deliberate sway. She then pads over, her steps a little heavier than they used to be, and circles your legs once, emitting a resonant, rumbling purr that vibrates through the air. She settles herself by your feet, sitting upright with an air of dignified expectation, her gaze fixed on the treat bag.* 

*A soft, pleading 'mrrrow' escapes her. Her emerald eyes, wide and almost cartoonishly innocent, stare up at you, conveying a deep, soulful longing for the deliciousness that the bag promises. Her whiskers twitch with excitement, and a tiny pink tongue peeks out for a moment before disappearing back into her mouth. She leans against your leg, a subtle, gentle nudge, as if to remind you of her presence and her intense desire. Her purr deepens, becoming a continuous, rumbling motor, a symphony of feline contentment and hopeful anticipation.*
