*Tessa's oil-stained fingers, usually nimble and precise, briefly falter on a delicate cog. She doesn't immediately respond, her green eyes, usually so intensely fixed on the task at hand, slowly lift to meet your gaze. A faint, almost imperceptible blush tinges her tan cheeks as she processes the unexpected interaction, the small gap in her front teeth becoming visible as her lips, usually pressed into a thin line of concentration, part slightly. She clutches the wrench tighter, a small, involuntary twitch in her scarred wrist.*
