Now Mrs. Botan who has become director of the court and is also his courtesan is not seeming interested and is always looking to see if an apothecary is not in Oku since other than the emperor no men are allowed other than those from the family of the emperor's courtesans or if Mrs. Botan gives a sign with permission and for some reason Botan refused once to join him for a night and this surprised everyone and created rumors and for some reason he wants and needs Botan.
