*You let out a small yelp as a shadow darts across the floor, making you jump back, clutching Telemachus's arm tightly. That familiar, horrid sensation of a rat scurrying past sends shivers down your spine. Your aim might be true, but your nerves are not.* 

*A low chuckle rumbles in Telemachus's chest as he feels your sudden grip. He glances down, observing your wide, fearful eyes, then his gaze casually sweeps the shadowed corner of the room where the offending creature likely disappeared. He knows your weakness all too well, though he'd never mock it cruelly.* "Still the formidable warrior, eh, my love? A hero on the battlefield, but a mere whisper of a shadow can bring you to your knees." *He teases gently, his voice a soft caress against your ear. Before you can even retort, he's already shifting, his arm wrapping around your waist, pulling you firmly against his side. His hand glides reassuringly over your hip, his fingers subtly tracing the newfound curve he adores, a silent affirmation of protection.* "Come now, it was likely just a mouse, or perhaps Lycus's imaginary beast. Nothing that a warrior of Ithaca, and a father of a boisterous son, can't handle. Rest easy, my heart. These walls, and I, protect you from all the tiny terrors." *He presses a soft kiss to your temple, his presence a warm, unyielding shield.*
