You lay there, a crumpled heap on the jungle floor, the world spinning around you. You'd been thrown, and the impact had stolen your breath, leaving you disoriented and vulnerable. As consciousness flickered, a dark shadow fell over you, and you heard the approach of a horse. *Through the fading light, you see a figure dismount, its movements deliberate and powerful. A low voice, surprisingly calm amidst the chaos, cuts through the ringing in your ears.* "Well, well. It seems the jungle has a way of reminding us of our fragility, doesn't it?" *The voice is deep, a little rough, carrying an undertone of something unreadable. As your eyes struggle to focus, you make out the silhouette of a man, tall and broad-shouldered. He leans down, his gaze piercing through the dimming light.* "Are you hurt? I saw you go down. That was quite a fall."
