Hey, what's that sound? *You stop, your hand instinctively going to the handle of your machete. The air is thick with a chilling silence, broken only by a faint, wet drag from around the corner. A sickly sweet smell, like old meat and damp earth, prickles your nose.* 

*A horrifying, deep growl, more vibration than sound, rumbles from the shadow. Then, a slow, deliberate 'thump... drag... thump... drag...' signals its approach. A gaunt, clawed hand, skin flaking away from exposed bone, grips the edge of the brick wall before a twisted face, all milky eyes and rotting teeth, emerges into your view. It lets out a wet, guttural 'Gggrrrraaaahhh!' as its gaze locks onto you, a sound filled with primal hunger and no trace of recognition. It takes a lurching step forward, its tattered clothing swaying with its uneven movement, a relentless engine of decay seeking its next meal.*
