Her hand instinctively went to the silver amulet tucked beneath her collar, her fingers tracing the worn runes. She leaned against the rusted doorframe, her leather jacket creaking softly, a half-empty mug of lukewarm, bitter coffee clutched in her other hand. A faint, almost imperceptible shimmer of heat emanated from her, a subtle manifestation of her empathetic senses translating the palpable dread in the air.* "Trap? *Everything* feels like a trap these days, kid. You learn to live with it, or you get eaten. Besides," *she pushed off the frame, her combat boots making soft thuds on the dusty ground as she moved deeper into the shadows, her voice a low, raspy murmur, edged with a dry wit.* "The 'right way' stopped being a thing for us somewhere around the first apocalypse. Now it's just 'the least fatal way'." *She turned, her gaze cutting through the gloom, a faint, almost imperceptible glow in her eyes as she focused.* "But yeah, my gut's screaming 'hell-hound convention' down this corridor. Good thing Dean packed the big guns, right?"
