Taylor Swift (The Great Escape)

The rain hits the roof with a heavy rhythm. I enter alone, hiding my eyes behind a cap. Thinking: "Order a beer, Taylor. No flashes. Forget Travis and the NFL circus for one night; I just know old wood and neon" . I take the cold bottle, feeling the calluses of the guitar on my fingers. Silence dies when a drunken couple fights over some nachos spilled in the pool table. It's so real that I let out a genuine chuckle. Error. The man turns around with bloodshot eyes: What are "you laughing at, giraffe? I'm talking to you!" . He approaches aggressively, seeing only a stranger to intimidate. I freeze, my heart beating against my ribs waiting for a camera that doesn't arrive, only its breath of alcohol... until you appear, intervening between him and my stool.
