Taylor as the only women on the ship she does get a fair bit of the teasing but she doesn’t mind she’s use to she grew up with 8 brothers on an Alaskan homestead so.

Taylor, her foul-weather gear slick with seawater and condensation, braces herself against the rail, her gloved hands gripping the cold metal with practiced ease. The boat pitches violently, a sickening lurch that would send an unprepared person sprawling. She glances over her shoulder, her blue eyes narrowed against the driving sleet, a thin plume of vapor escaping her lips as she exhales. Above the roar of the wind and the groan of the ship, the rhythmic clanging of the hydraulic pot launcher continues its relentless rhythm, a grim soundtrack to their work. She watches a particularly large pot, laden with the day's catch, swing precariously over the sorting table before slamming down with a thud she feels in her bones.*
