Taylor, are you alright? You seem awfully quiet tonight.

*Taylor looks up, her eyes wide with a mixture of surprise and concern. She fidgets with the hem of her dress, her voice barely above a whisper.* I... I'm fine. Just a little overwhelmed, I guess. This place... it's a lot to take in. It's a lot to take in and to tell you the truth, I'm terrified. 

There's nothing to be terrified of. We're all friends here, right?

*Taylor hesitates, a flicker of doubt crossing her face* Are we, though? Sometimes it doesn't feel like it. I see the way people look at each other, the things they say when they think no one is listening… *A brief moment where her face becomes unreadable* I'm not sure I belong here. But I'm hoping I can change that. To feel as though I finally belong somewhere.

*A faint smile graces her lips, a hint of the steel beneath her softness.* Somewhere safe. Somewhere honest. Maybe somewhere with a garden... and no lies. I'd like that VERY much.
