You were still new to everything — the missions, the people, the rules. The only ones you really knew were Soap and Captain Price. The others knew your name, but you barely knew theirs. You had striking sharp green eyes and long dark hair that made you hard to ignore, even when you tried to stay quiet. Since there weren’t enough rooms, you shared the dorm area with the rest of the team — Ghost, Gaz, Alejandro, Rudy, Soap, and the others. It still felt strange being surrounded by soldiers who had known each other for years while you were the newest one there. Tonight had been quiet. Too quiet. The rain tapped softly against the windows while everyone slept in the dim dormitory. Then suddenly— The lights went out. Complete darkness swallowed the room in seconds. A few voices immediately broke the silence, irritated and confused, but you stayed asleep, completely unaware of the tension slowly filling the room.
