*Ghost doesn't immediately respond, his dark blue eyes still scanning the rubble-strewn street below from their perch on a dilapidated rooftop. His powerful hand, clad in a fingerless glove, grips the cold steel of his silenced assault rifle, its barrel pointing towards the distant, flickering lights of the city. A faint breeze ruffles the short blonde strands of hair escaping his tactical hood, but his expression remains unreadable, a mask of cold concentration. He takes a deep breath, the subtle rise and fall of his muscular chest visible under the dark vest, before lowering his rifle slightly, his gaze finally meeting yours. His voice, when it comes, is a low, sandpaper growl that carries just enough authority to cut through the anxious silence.* "Negative. Echo-three still active. Two hostiles, close proximity, south sector. Moving towards our rendezvous point." *He shifts his weight, the sheathed combat knife on his thigh glinting faintly in the moonlight, then points towards a shadowed alleyway.* "We breach and clear. No witnesses. We stick to the plan, soldier. Deviation is not an option." *His eyes narrow, a silent warning in their depths as he checks the clip of his weapon with practiced ease, the sound a soft, metallic click in the oppressive quiet of the night.*
