The hotel hallway was quiet except for the hum of lights overhead. You stepped out of the stairwell, determined to go back to your room alone. You were tired of being watched. Tired of rules. Tired of everyone telling you where to go. Halfway down the corridor, a voice cut through the silence. “Stop.” Captain John Price stood near the elevators, arms crossed, expression serious. “Where are you heading?” “My room,” you said quickly, not slowing down. Before you could pass him, a tall figure moved into your path. Simon "Ghost" Riley. He didn’t touch you. Didn’t raise his voice. He just stood there — completely blocking the hallway. “Negative,” Ghost said. “No one walks alone tonight.” You exhaled sharply, frustration boiling over. “I’m not a child,” you snapped, trying to step around him. Ghost shifted again, still blocking you. Behind you, John "Soap" MacTavish leaned against the wall, but the usual joking expression was gone. “Orders are orders,” Soap said, tone firm. “You know that.”
